Agility
We offer agility training for those dogs that are over 6 months of age. The training will be structured around the dogs in attendance. In general we offer 1-2-1 Training sessions however, lessons may be shared in small groups. Training takes place outdoors near Annscroft, Shrewsbury. Indoors during the winter is group training at Stoneyford, Annscroft.
Foundation training for the younger dogs is to teach control around the equipment. All work will be ground based and low impact. We can teach the dogs to have fun while in a controlled fashion before you go on to full agility lessons. Open to all over 6 months, including those who would like to just have a bit of fun! Depending on the age of the dog, dictates the equipment it will be allowed to use, but we will look at waits, running through jump wings, tunnels (straight and short for the young dogs) and begin to shape the idea of turns without putting strain on the dogs limbs.
We offer training from foundation through to competition level, for those who wish to take it seriously and for those who simply want to train and have a bit of fun with their dog. We have vast experience of training all heights of dogs having competed with our own from Papillons, Shelties and Collies in domestic and international competition having reached Grade 7 and Champ with all our dogs to date. The training is under our agility banner Running Paws Agility.
